We'll take you from casual tourist to a global citizen! The courses in Italy are designed to give Graduate Students an intercultural learning experience that combines an immersion into Intercultural Communication, Italian and multi-media communication skills (digital photo, blogging, journaling, book and web production) and you earn six credits that can be completed in lieu of the campus residency of COML 517. Tuition is the same price as regular courses.
Cagli, Italy is a beautiful small medieval city situated high in the Apennini Mountains near the Adriatic coast. The program begins with a hotel stay in Florence for a two-day excursion. Then we take a Charter bus to Cagli where students share apartments with full kitchens and laundry facilities. There are two free travel days in Italy for visits to Rome or other locations, and a group visit to the historical university city of Urbino the home of Rafaello and the birth of the Renaissance. The total program is just over two weeks (17 days) but many students plan pre or post-travel in Italy or throughout Europe.
